My Story 

Founded in 2020, West Current Resin is a growing business based in Ottawa Ontario, Canada. West Current's founder (Steve) found an interest in the medium of Resin within the first few months of the Covid-19 pandemic making small coasters and molded containers and shapes. This turned into combing the mediums of resin and wood after seeing videos on YouTube of resin and wood night lights. Steve decided that this would be an excellent project to try out as gifts to each of his 5 nieces. What started of out as fairly simply design evolved into 5 different and increasingly more difficult lamps and a passion for using resin and wood together. After creating these beautiful lamps Steve decided to start a series of serving boards to be given as gifts to family during the holiday season. When Steve’s job was eliminated due to the pandemic he and his business partner (and wife) decided that this would be the time to try and make a go at starting West Current Resin as a full time business. West Current Resin now creates beautiful serving boards, coasters, tables, ornaments and more; creating custom order products that can be used and loved for generations. This is truly a passion project for Steve that is allowing him to use his natural talents and creative abilities in new and fantastic ways.
